The Canandaigua Yacht Club

30 minutes from Rochester, the CYC offers members and guests a mooring for their under 26' sailboat on beautiful Canandaigua Lake. Mooring and dry sailing are available along with a full dining room and bar. Visit the site for a more complete description and pictures. Join the CYC and reduce the cost of sailing. For less than the costs from a marina you can have a place to keep your boat winter and summer and the sociability of a club membership with comfortable surroundings for sailors. Club sunfish are available along with sailing lessons for juniors and adults, camping facilities, a beach, a playground for the kids and a picnic area.

One Design Sailboat racing on Irondequoit Bay is the primary goal of the club. Four type of boats are raced for all ages and skills.Sailing instruction is also available.
