The Junior League of Rochester is an organization of women committed to promoting voluntarism, developing the potential of women, and improving communities through the effective action and leadership of trained volunteers. The organization focuses its volunteer resources on issues affecting Rochester women: improving the health and safety of women, maximizing women's educational and employment opportunities, and developing the potential of teen women.
The City Walk is a grassroots social networking organization committed to making Rochester a better place to live, work, and play by promoting a strong foundation of connectedness in the community. It's all about building social capital.
The William Warfield Scholarship Fund was formed in 1977 to provide financial aid to talented and deserving students who attend the Eastman School of Music, William Warfield's alma matter. Although not required, students should preferably be from families of modest means. The Scholarship Fund encourages minority students to apply. Students must also maintain at least a B grade point average.
