| Description |
Rochester's newest cultural institution, the mission of Mercury Opera Rochester is to produce professional opera of the highest artistic quality, maintain fiscal responsibility, educate and cultivate future audiences for opera, and provide performance opportunities for local singers, professional, emerging, and avocational.
Mercury Opera Rochester's first season was in 2005-2006, when it produced Mascagni's L'Amico Fritz, Puccini's Madama Butterfly, and Donizetti's L'Elisir d'Amore. The 2006-2007 (2nd) season included Mozart's Abduction from the Seraglio, Menotti's Amahl and the Night Visitors (a new annual tradition), Bellini's Norma, and Kern's & Hammerstein's Show Boat. The 2007-2008 (3rd) season includes Copland's The Tender Land, Menotti's Amahl, Mozart's Don Giovanni, and Puccini's La Boheme. |

A community theater group in the Rochester area that performs to help non-for-profit organizations raise money for their cause. This troupe performs a Musical Revue, Stages provides the entertainment the partners provide the audience.

The David Hochstein Memorial Music School

The Hochstein Music School, founded in 1920, serves over 2600 students per year. Classes are offered in all orchestral instruments, dance, ensembles, voice, Orff Schulwerk, music therapy, theory and composition, and much more.
